New light signs for the Point Vert stores, a big breath of fresh air in the garden center sector

In 2020, Jean Pierre Pigeon, general manager of the Point Vert garden center stores, launched a project to modernize the three stores in Conthey (VS), Uvrier (VS) and Moudon (VD).
With the help of our graphic designer, we came up with a project that the team liked.
We worked in collaboration with the project partners, City Technics for the lighting part and X for the design of the facades.

In Conthey, we supplied a luminous sign entirely in acrylic glass and LED lighting for the main façade.

The sign is illuminated on the front face and on the side faces for a 3D effect day and night.

The sign was installed in individual letters, without visible support.

In Uvrier, three triangular-shaped glass pediments were covered with a thermo-lacquered aluminum box supporting the 3D logo, also all in acrylic glass and illuminated with LEDs and giving better visibility to the brand.

In Moudon, we made a lighted gate for the main entrance, a double-sided lighted sign was installed on the roof, powder-coated plates were installed at the top of the front and rear facades recalling the different trades, a non-lighted totem welcomes the visitors at the entrance to the car park and stickers have been installed on the windows, doors and on the facade.

Point Vert stores have been the benchmark garden center in French-speaking Switzerland since 1982. Gardening items, decoration, flowers, seedlings, trees and shrubs for indoors and outdoors.

For years, illuminated signs were lit exclusively with high-voltage neon lights, which consume a lot of energy and are very fragile, the tubes being made of blown glass.

In the early 90s, the appearance of LED lighting in signs changed the game. The lifespan of signs and their lighting has increased and new design and material possibilities have emerged.

Until recently, the fabrications and design remained very classic, in most cases light boxes and cut-out letters.

Today, manufacturing techniques, the quality of materials and new design trends give free rein to the imagination.More and more, we see signs with creative design and lighting replacing existing signs with a classic appearance.

New logo, new colors, British American Tobacco has changed its visual identity and commissioned us to design the new signs for the factories in Switzerland and Germany.
The new logo consists of 3 initials B A T and a comma which reflects the new identity.

White logo on a blue background at the Boncourt factory (Jura) in Switzerland.

For the Boncourt factory, we created a white sign 7 m wide and 3 m high which took place against the blue background of the main building of the factory.

The frame of the sign is in white powder-coated aluminum and the front face is in opal white acrylic glass for front lighting.
We also produced a non-illuminated white sign for the annex building of the factory and two non-illuminated blue signs which adorned the white walls surrounding the visitor reception staircase. All made of folded heat-sealed aluminium.

We really liked the new identity and we are delighted to have been able to realize it.
We greatly appreciated the contact with the team responsible for the project at British American Tobacco and we thank them warmly for the good communication.

Our team of installers worked a full day to install the four signs before heading to the Bayreuth factory in Germany to install their new signs.
